This 4 days Sri Lanka tour covers main attractions in the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka. You will be staying in 3* hotels. This 4 days tour includes all entrance fees for major attractions. It also includes a safari in Minneriya national park and village tour in the remote village of Habarana.

Day 1:: Meet & greet by "Seerendipity Tours" Representatives and proceed to hotel in Kandy via Kegalle.

KANDY

A ruled in Kandy up to 1815 although the rest of the island was under the British regime. Finally it was ceded to them by the Chieftains of Kandy who were disappointed over the king’s cruel deeds. Today Kandy is one of the most important cities owing to the presence of the Temple of the Sacred tooth of the Buddha.

PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, the foster – home of elephants of different age and size feeding, bathing, playing together and even mating. These have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. There are even little baby calves born in captivity.

ELEPHANT SAFARI / RIDE

The Elephant that was the limousine, Bulldozer, War Tank, Status Symbol, Wealth Asset and Domestic pet in the past is today an element that adds colour to pageants or the gentle Giant that gives pleasure rides. 
The Elephant Safari (At Village) has become a highlight event to tourist for its excitement and adventure or even for the "Chance of a Life Time" of riding an Elephant. The Elephant Safari is a ride on an Elephant with safely secured seat that takes around one hour. The ride takes you through the jungle, village and even crosses a part of the paddy field. This is fun never to be missed when in Sri Lanka.

PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE
Sri Dalada Maligawa (Sinhala) or The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex which houses the Relic of the tooth of Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sinhalese kings and is a world heritage site partly due to the temple.

Day 2:: After the breakfast leave for Sigiriya via Sigiriya Dambulla

SPICE GARDEN

Visit a spice garden at Matale where spices and herbs used for Sri Lankan cuisine and medication are grown Spices of Sri Lanka attracted the early sea faring merchants who made the long voyages to purchase this precious merchandise.

GOLDEN CAVE TEMPLE DAMBULLA

In the 1st century B C a king of Anuradhapura fled the city due to a South Indian invasion and took refuge in the caves of Dambulla. On recapturing Anuradhapura after 13 years, the king converted the caves in to monastery and gifted it to the Buddhist monks.

SIGIRIYA ROCK

A Prince of the 5th century who committed patricide made the rock of Sigiriya his hideout in order to stay away from his half-brother who sought vengeance. This prince Kasyappa by name, not only fortified his stronghold but also added to it artistic beauty.(declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO).

SAFARI AT MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK
This will include a Safari tour by jeep with a jungle tracker, where you can see animals in the Jungle, including elephants, Bears, Wild boar, Dear, Buffalo, Monkeys and many other animals if you are lucky, leopards too. Return to Habarana.

Day 3:: After the breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa afterward village tour in Habarana.

EXPLORE POLONNARUWA BY BIKE

Today the ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best planned archaeological relic sites in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom's first rulers. Its beauty was also used as a backdrop to filmed scenes for the Duran Duran music video Save a Prayer in 1982. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

VILLAGE TOUR AND BOATING IN THE VILLAGE TANK

We have an interesting excursion available in Habarana, in the form of a traditional bullock cart ride. This maximum 1 hour program is designed for you to experience the real traditional Sri Lankan rural village style, where you will travel in a Bullock cart to a rural village through lush green paddy fields where you will be served tea and " juggery" along with lunch made to authentic Sri Lankan style. Traditional cooking methods, and a visit to a paddy field to see how the local farmers protect their crops from the wild animals, will be demonstrated. The finale of this excursion will be a traditional canoe ride in a lake in Habarana.

Day 4:: After the breakfast leave for Colombo, En-route sightseeing tour of Anuradhapura

ANURADHAPURA 
Anuradhapura  is a major city in Sri Lanka. It is the capital city of North Central Province, Sri Lanka and the capital of Anuradhapura District. Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of an ancient Sri Lankan civilization. It was the third capital of the Kingdom of Rajarata, following the kingdoms of Tambapanni and Upatissa Nuwara.

The city, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was the center of Theravada Buddhism for many centuries. The city lies 205 km (127 mi) north of the current capital Colombo in Sri Lanka's North Central Province, on the banks of the historic Malvathu Oya. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and one of the eight World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka.

It is believed that from the fourth century BC until the beginning of the 11th century AD it was the capital of the Sinhalese. During this period it remained one of the most stable and durable centers of political power and urban life in South Asia. The ancient city, considered sacred to the Buddhist world, is today surrounded by monasteries covering an area of over sixteen square miles (40 km²).

Visit a Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory enroute. Sri Lanka being famous for its “Ceylon Tea” has added cheers to many the world over for more than a century.
